Flaws of Democracy
It's not the voting that's democracy, it's the counting.Tom StoppardThis quote shows how incredibly advanced the Greek people were. Not only did they have the idea of democracy down, there was also very little cheating in the vote counting. (although of course they did cheat many times) Because democracy was good for all the people, cheating was generally eliminated because there was not nearly as much discontent as there is in most governmental systems. It also shows how easily democracy can fall though, if the counter decides to take control of the state, then there is nothing that the people can do about it.
