I was going to do this one.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of adultery is touched upon in the Odyssey, (Agamemnon's wife/Aphrodite)
and how Penelope has every opportunity to do the same.
Also, Odysseus has the opportunity to be disloyal (WHICH HE IS, STUPIDLY, STUPID DOUBLE STANDARDS) with Calypso, and then has another opportunity with Nausicaa.
This is when Odysseus pours his heart out, hopefully about Penelope, and prays that Nausicaa will find her own, effectively rejecting her.
