A great leader

“I don't know any other way to lead but by example.”
-Don shula

This is a great quote from a former football player/coach, this relates to Odysseus because in this quote he talks about him being a leader and how he doesn't know any other way to be one unless he does the things he believes he has to be done in order to be the leader of his team. This is basically saying that you cant just tell your crew to do things , you must show them how and then they will follow your lead into becoming a better team.

    I agree with this post. If someone were to just boss people around without doing work they wouldn't be considered a hero. A hero is someone that motivates and helps people when in need.

    This quote is a great representation of both Coach Shula and Odysseus. In 1972, Shula led the Miami Dolphins to an undefeated record as well as a Super Bowl title. This team succeeded because Shula was a professional and demanded mutual respect in his organization instead of running a dictatorship. Odysseus has the same approach with his crewman; an approach that leads to the crew overcoming great odds to succeed.
